							<![CDATA[नागालैंड विश्वविद्यालय के एक नए अध्ययन ने मणिपुर की लोकटक झील के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर चिंताएं बढ़ा दी हैं। लोकटक झील भारत के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मीठे पानी वाले पारिस्थितिक तंत्रों में से एक है और इसी झील पर स्थित केईबुल लामजाओ नेशनल पार्क दुनिया का एकमात्र तैरता हुआ राष्ट्रीय उद्यान है। इस नए शोध से पुष्टि होती है कि इस झील के जलग्रहण क्षेत्र में भूमि उपयोग में परिवर्तन सीधे तौर पर झील में गिरने वाली नदियों के जल की गुणवत्ता को खराब कर रहे हैं, जिससे इसकी जैव विविधता और इस पर निर्भर हजारों लोगों की आजीविका खतरे में पड़ रही है। नागालैंड विश्वविद्यालय के पर्यावरण विज्ञान विभाग की एलिज़ा ख्वैराकपम के नेतृत्व में किए गए इस अध्ययन में झील में गिरने वाली नौ प्रमुख नदियों का विश्लेषण किया गया। इसमें पाया गया कि कृषि अपवाह, बढ़ती बस्तियाँ और झूम खेती जल प्रदूषण को प्रभावित करने वाले प्रमुख कारक हैं। अध्ययन के दौरान नामबुल और खुगा नदियाँ सबसे अधिक प्रदूषित पाई गईं, जबकि इरिल और थौबल नदियों में उनके जलग्रहण क्षेत्रों में अधिक वन आवरण के कारण पानी की गुणवत्ता अपेक्षाकृत बेहतर पाई गई। नामबुल नदी में पानी की गुणवत्ता सबसे खराब पाई गई, जिसमें घुलित ऑक्सीजन का स्तर मात्र 0.02 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर था, जो केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड द्वारा मत्स्य पालन के लिए अनुशंसित 4 मिलीग्राम प्रति लीटर की अनुमेय घुलित ऑक्सीजन सीमा से काफी कम है। शुष्क मौसम में इसका जैव रासायनिक ऑक्सीजन मांग (बीओडी) स्तर 25 मिलीग्राम/लीटर और आर्द्र मौसम में 20 मिलीग्राम/लीटर तक पहुंच&hellip;This article was originally published on <a href="https://hindi.mongabay.com/2026/02/17/loktak-lake-catchment-degradation-study/" data-wpel-link="internal">Mongabay</a>]]>
